A Day in the Life

As our Business Development Specialist, you’ll start your day by checking in with the CEO, aligning on our company’s vision and discussing potential opportunities. You’ll spend your morning researching UK businesses that could benefit from our software products or services and identifying contacts and crafting messages.

By midday, you might be presenting to a prospective client via video call.

After lunch, you’ll analyse data from recent market research, compiling insights to share with the team.

Later you could be crafting a proposal for a potential partner, or planning your schedule for an upcoming trade show.

As the day winds down, you’ll prepare your weekly report on progress against goals.

Throughout your week, you’ll be:

  • Conducting and analysing UK market research
  • Connecting with your existing business relationships and clients
  • Meeting with prospective partners and clients
  • Creating presentations and proposals
  • Providing input for marketing initiatives
  • Reporting on progress weekly, monthly, and quarterly
  • Traveling to trade shows, client and partner sites as needed

This role reports directly to the CEO and requires a versatile professional who can engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Your understanding of the UK business landscape and analytical skills will be key to driving our growth in this market.

Key Requirements

  • Experience in business development or sales within the UK market.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present insights clearly.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating polished, professional pitch decks and proposal documents.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Experience in attending and leveraging industry events and workshops for business development.
  • Proficiency in necessary business tools for reporting, presentation creation, and pipeline management.
